“Cabarrus College of Health Sciences offered me the best preparation for a career in nursing that I could have hoped for. Their expectations for excellence are high, which made living up to those expectations difficult, but also made me a better-prepared nurse. Beginning weekly clinical rotations in the first semester makes Cabarrus College’s program stand out, as well as the way they conduct their clinical days and their focus on professionalism in the workplace. The amount of time accrued at the bedside during clinical, I believe, is unmatched in other programs. The instructors at Cabarrus College provide specific and personalized feedback and guidance during and after clinical shifts, which help their students grow exponentially and prepare them for the real world of nursing.”

Paige Harry, RN, ’18
Associate of Science in Nursing

“I knew that I wanted to work for the best in the region, and Cabarrus College’s clinical education at Atrium Health facilities provided what I was looking for. I was able to make connections as a nursing student that gave me an advantage when applying to new nursing positions. Spending clinical time in Atrium Health hospitals meant many managers were familiar with who I was, and they already knew my work ethic. Without Cabarrus College, I would not have landed my dream job right out of school!”

Hear From More of Our Proud Alumni

Cabarrus College was by far the best decision I ever made! The instructors put their heart into each of their students and go out of their way to afford and create opportunities in clinicals and in the classroom for students to grow in their knowledge and skillset. Having a skills lab within the college allowed me to continue enhancing my critical thinking and hands-on learning in a safe environment where I could make mistakes, correct myself and work with the same equipment as in the hospital. Upon my final semester, I felt confident in the interviewing skills I had been taught in my professional development course. I was so thankful that Cabarrus took the time to integrate resumes, interview techniques and professional situations into our curriculum prior to embarking into the career field.”

Kathryn McRae, RN, BSN, ’21, ’22

“One thing that sold me when visiting Cabarrus College was the close-knit environment. Immediately I felt like I was at home, and I knew that this was the perfect fit for me. The faculty are all amazing and they truly care about you as an individual, not just as their student or another number. They want to see you succeed and will do whatever it takes to help get you there as long as you put in the same effort in return.”
